Join us in a global movement to thank and show appreciation for the heroes who have dedicated themselves to helping keep us all safe in the face of adversity

Scroll

In these unprecedented challenging times of global crisis, we ask you to join us in a global movement to thank and show our enormous appreciation for the heroes who have dedicated themselves to helping keep us all safe in the face of adversity by providing vital services and working on the frontline, from doctors, nurses, paramedics, scientists, GPs, porters and pharmacists in the healthcare system to carers, emergency services workers, police and military personnel, shopworkers and supermarket staff, cleaners, refuse collectors, farmers, delivery staff, caterers, teachers, transportation and logistics staff, volunteers and many more other key workers and critical personnel. The positive difference they are making through their courageous efforts and inspiring acts of kindness and compassion merits recognition all around the world. We are all hugely grateful for their continued life saving hard work and fight against the virus in these extraordinary circumstances.

Please join us in our solidarity effort, alongside high profile influencers and leaders from around the world with whom we collaborate, to show appreciation for and gratitude towards the inspiring heroes who have dedicated themselves to keeping us all safe, by using the form below to submit your thank you messages/positive stories and/or photo/video/audio and post them with the hashtag #SPIRITEDTHANKS so we can ensure your message is sent to different hospitals, organisations, staff etc. and is shared on the wall of appreciation below as a lasting tribute or digital monument.

Whether they are for particular individuals or the system as a whole, your messages, which act as emotions as a gift, will help lift their spirits, show them how many people are thinking of and cheering for them and can spur them on to keep going. With your gestures, you can help make and brighten up people’s days and contribute positively to their wellbeing and mental health. Decades of scientific research have shown that gratitude can build resilience, strengthen resolve and improve performance so let them feel and know our love and appreciation and provide shining points of light, hope and healing in a period of darkness.

Even a small contribution that takes you just a few seconds can make a huge difference and go a long way in boosting morale, re-energising people and helping them remember all the people they are protecting and just how much their important work matters.

Nothing will ever be enough to repay them the debt we owe but we hope this token of gratitude will help show them how appreciative we all are and that we are thinking of them on top of more transient gestures like daily clapping. They share the same fears, uncertainties and anxieties as all of us and have their own loved ones to consider and care for and their own underlying health conditions to protect. They come from all walks of life and diverse backgrounds across the world but what unites them is their willingness to tirelessly help others in times of great danger, which demands immense courage and kindness. Today more than ever, we must cherish these heroes who heedless of personal risks make sacrifices for the greater good and battle adversity each day to help us all when we are at our most vulnerable. They deserve the utmost appreciation and gratitude and we salute them for their service.

Today is #nationalfirstrespondersday and we couldn’t be more grateful for the men and women who answer the call to serve their communities each and every day. Who sacrifice time away from their own families to lend a helping hand. We may wear different patches and uniforms but we always stand in solidarity. Thank you for your service. #nypd #nypdfinest #nypdsports #fdny #ems #newyorkstrong #dragonboatinglife #dragonboat #dragonboatracing #firstresponders #frontlineworkers #essentialworkers

Sinus surgery went well yesterday. Thanks to Dr. V Jordan and all the nurses who took great care of me at Park Nicollet surgery center in St. Louis Park. There’s definitely more appreciation when you see first hand how hard our hospital workers are working even during this crazy pandemic. I was nervous and scared to have surgery especially without Travis next to me. But all the nurses and doctors made sure the surgery process went smoothly. Recovering well at home thanks to my in-house doc @travisw87. 😷💙😘 . . . #sinussurgery #inferiorturbinatereduction #parknicollet #hospitalworkers #thankyou #ourheroes #frontlineworkers #doctors #nurses #pandemic2020

All health care and front line workers ROCK! Everything they do for us is not just their job, but also a selfless act to help all. They put themselves in harms way on a daily basis - PLEASE extend any act of kindness you can so they know just how much they are appreciated and needed! ❤️💚👏😷 #kindnessmatters #healthcareheroes #frontlineworkers #wife #mom #animalmom #family #bookdragon #coffeeaddict #winelover #happiness #lovinglife #relaxation #bookstagram #booksofinstagram

HAPPY #RTWEEK!⁣ ⁣ This week we're celebrating RTs from all stages of their careers. Today we're shining a spotlight on a RT that has taken her passion and built a business with it. Congratulations Lourine...RTs in Today's Bride Magazine...who would have ever thought !!💐⁣ ⁣ LOURINE SCOTT-OSAMUSALI: I graduated in 86’ as a Respiratory Technologist from what was then TIMT (Toronto Institute of Medical Technology). I’ve worked in Hamilton, Pembroke, Brampton and Etobicoke in a variety of roles that included inpatient, Home O2, PFT and OR. The changes in the practice of respiratory therapy over the last 34 years have been incredible. I'm very proud of my work as an RRT, but I also knew when it was time for me to hang up my ‘scope’. Throughout my life, I had always helped family and friends decorate for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. It seemed to come naturally. About a year before my early retirement date, I took a course in floral design at a local college. I wanted to solidify the technical aspects of what I had been doing casually. That was the beginning of my home-based event florist business called “Floraldreamin”.⁣ ⁣ I love weddings! I love everything about them. Being able to take flowers, which are naturally beautiful and create arrangements that make the bride or the event space look that much more gorgeous is such a joy. What’s exciting for me right now is that I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with other wedding vendors on a few projects that have been featured by digital publications like Munaluchi Bride Magazine, Wedding Wire Canada and most recently Today’s Bride Magazine. The wedding industry, like so many industries, has taken a major hit this year but the downtime has afforded me the opportunity to educate myself, rebrand my business, update my website and social media and I’ve started a floral blog – www.floraldeamin.ca; so, lots of cool things on the horizon.⁣ ⁣ Continued in the comments (1/2)⁣ ⁣ COMMENT BELOW: Are you ready to start your passion business?
